8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal never responds to any emails or attends any meeting. She is almost non-existent when it comes to any issues. There is a ton of bullying happening, students are getting beaten on school property with little to nothing being done. There are recordings of teachers complaining about the bullying and little to nothing is being done. Kids are so scared and staff only brush them off and say ignore the other kids. There are videos where the kids are being beaten until they are bleeding and black out but the school does very little to help.Staff members bring guns to school and are allowed back at school to prevent a protest. The head Principal is never around to help. The principle will be in the lunch room as students are being bullied but doesn't help. There is never any accountability on the staffs part. They are the adults who are suppose to keep our kids safe. They blame the students and never take any responsibility for their lack safety and guidance.Parent Review6mo ago - Protsman Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI teach an extracurricular, after-school class for students at this school as I do for other schools throughout northwest Indiana and I can always tell in about two minutes just how dedicated the day-long teachers are to teaching and maintaining appropriate discipline in their school ... This is a school that plainly has a dedicated and consistent day-long teaching staff as well as administrators who expect the best in their teachers and their students (as well as the custodial staff since this is a very clean school in one of the older buildings I teach at) ... the students are respectful and adhere to instruction from me quite willing ... they are enthusiastic and interested and while the subject i teach can be a bit tedious at times, they give their best effort ... as with any group of students who just finished a day of school and are ready to explode into their after-school lives, they do on occasion have an extra energy that needs to be reigned in but it doesn't require more than a simple reminder from me and they are back on task This is obviously a well-run school with educators who care and give their best to their profession, their students, and their school.Other Review11y ago - Check out schools near 149 Plum Creek Dr.
