5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageComplete nightmare. This school sides with bullys. If you don't have money or status your child will be singled out. My daughter loves school. But it is one thing after the next. My daughter is constantly being singled out and the school is too lazy to actually investigate what happens when being accusatory. I myself was spoken to very condescendingly, the person makes me very uncomfortable, told the school to contact my husband instead. My daughter was told that her punishment was more severe because I hadn't contacted them about a proper punishment. Very unprpfessional.Parent Review3mo ago - Check out schools near 143 Main St.

"I've lived on this block for the last 3 years and I like it here. This area is very quiet and the people are nice and friendly. Also there are lots of big American Toads jumping all around. They are friendly too and let you hold them. I have 2 big ones living in my apartment. I recommend this area to everyone. See you all soon."

"I agree with previous comment. Police always on this street, West Race St. Pottsville, PA. Lots of drugs, in area. People walking up & down street, all hours of the night. Houses are very old, and falling down. Alot of vacant houses. Most Landlords are from out of area, do not care about property, just collecting rent. Majority of residents, do not work. Depressed area. Pottsville School is really good, though. Very few stores, restaurants, need a car; very little public transportation. Streets are in very poor condition & not clean. City has lots of litter. Locals moving out (getting pushed out). Lived here most of my life, watched the place, deteriorate."

"Pottsville is a pretty good town. People for the most part are friendly. Downtown has currently one parking garage. Some downtown businesses do still exist."

"Alot of police activity. Some buildings are run down. Not a great place to live. The schools are ok, not great. Drug activity seems to be high. I would not want to raise my children here. It's okay if your single, or have grown children. Beware of deadbeat landlords."

"i lived hee for 14 yrs and i want to move. this place still seems like its back in the early 1900 heating their houses with coal and oil. but once your here its like youre trapped, the pay is not good. if you want to do really go to good restaurants or such its about a 30-45 min drive. wish i jad never came here."

"Lived here for 3 years up until my husbands job relocated us out of state. Pottsville has excellent schools and the town is excited and proud of the football team. Both my teens went to the highschool and had good experience. The curriculum offered includes Honors and A.P. "
