7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school didn’t actually try for me. When I struggled they do to they way I think they pushed their ways of teaching on me more. They didn’t try anything different most of the classmates I went with could agree with me. There were a few rude teachers, and if I ever tried to explain myself they wouldn’t listen to my reason. There is also a huge drug problem across the whole town even in the learning environments.Other Review2y ago - Smithville Upper Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child has attended Horizon Elementary since Kindergarten and he is now in third grade. I have nothing but great things to say about the school, the teachers, and the students. The staff is very personable and the teachers actually care about their students succeeding, the school is very clean and it looks newer, and the students there are kind. My child struggled with reading and a few other things so the school has helped accommodate him and he is always making progress. The school goes above and beyond for my child and I am seeing the improvement every day. The teachers communicate with me and make sure to keep me involved. My son is doing great academically and I know it is because of the school and just how much the teachers truly care. Again, I have nothing but great things to say about Horizon Elementary School and Smithville School District!Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 14025 N Robinhood Ln.

"I currently reside in this same neighborhood. It is a great neighborhood with a mixture of people of all races and nationalities. It is safe for the most part, but there are a handful of homeless vagrants in the area. Although a decent area of Kansas City, I wouldn't have packages left in an insecure area as they do have a tendency to get stolen. Other than that, it is an area full of life, things to do and it is central to everything in Kansas City."
