"I’ve lived in Westwego for over 10 years and I’ve always felt safe and have never had any issues. The Westwego police are always patrolling the neighborhoods day and night. Most residents have been here for years and you will find most if not all are very humble and friendly. "

"No public transportation. Commute downtown is not bad. Maybe 25 minutes. You can catch public transportation in Avondale to downtown. Closest grocery is 10 minutes away, however there is a convenience store nearby. Also a library and a park for walking. There is a parish playground where kids can play sports."

"I have lived in this neighborhood for 30 years. It is a friendly community. The schools are nearby and so is the playground, library and walking park. There is also a bike path nearby on the levee. "

"Westwego feels like a small town in an out of the way part of the country. There some small town quaintness to be enjoyed but there’s also the big problem of the good ole boys club. If you’re not in the club you like it there. "

"A great library, recreational park and a very nice walking park. There is a playground where the children can participate in various sports and activities year round. Also, a bike trail on the levee where you can ride bikes or walk your dog. "

"Every Halloween the streets in the neighborhood are closed off to traffic so that everyone can safely enjoy trick or treating. People come from all over and the people that live here go all out with their Halloween decorations. Mo’s Pizza has a big festival once a year. Live music, food, etc."

"It’s a brand new development with all brand new homes. All homes are close to 300k so you have a certain caliber of people that will be your neighbors. Everyone in the neighborhood is nice."
