6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI wish we had gone through reviews for this school before enrolling our kids. Most of their 5 star reviews are from the teachers. Those really should not count towards student or parent experience.Same as on their Facebook page. Those reviews should be limited to say glass door as work reviews. The teachers are okay but the administration is highly lacking even in simple follow through. If you have the option do not enroll your child here.Parent Review5y ago - North Hagerstown High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a teacher at Western Heights Middle School for two years. One of those years was during the pandemic. It was remarkable to see first hand the commitment, rigor, care for students academics, emotional, and physical needs, and teamwork of leadership and teachers found in this school. The principal is efficient, hardworking, and an organized, positive influencer to both staff and students. The other admins also show dedication and care. The fellow teachers I worked with were brilliant, hardworking, and always ready to show accountability both in the classroom and during our PD meetings. I loved my experience at Western Heights Middle School, and I still use everything I learned there to teach now on the East Coast. WCPS is an awesome school district whose leadership truly continue to change and impact lives and make new leaders. I will always remember you all fondly and with great respect!Teacher Review11mo ago - Check out schools near 13843 Pennsylvania Ave.

"Downtown Hagerstown is not somewhere I would want to live due to the high crime rate, drug use, prostitution, and homelessness. However, the neighborhoods outside downtown are nice. "

"Hagerstown has a lot to offer as far as community events. If you look on the Hagerstown City webpage, you can look at community events. You may also prefer to follow on facebook for neighboring events. I have not lived there in that particular neighborhood for several years but, I do know people who still do reside there. "

"Lots of people have dogs so I don’t feel bad walking my dog or if he barks. Everyone picks up after their dogs usually and there’s plenty of places to walk your dog. Also a big park near by for running with your dog. Every dog I have met has been friendly and so are their owners. I wish there was a fenced dog area in the neighborhood but there isn’t. Closest one is a few miles away. "
