4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEvery school has it good and bad my kids are passing through this school and I have had both sides of the ship with my children. It’s not the school or the children that make it a school that a child’s should not attend Irs the choices of the student and the guidance of the parent any child can cone through here and excel to the highest level and some just might get pulled in by the streets but over all the staff to the student are family and all have one goal SUCESSParent Review1y ago - J. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageJ Wallace James is an awesome school. The teachera actually love their job and it shows in how they love and support their students. My boys love their school. The teachers and staff go out if their way to make learning fun.Parent Review1y ago - David Thibodaux STEM Magnet Academy
- 6-12
- Public
- 1364 Students
9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere is a clear preference to accommodate the students attending DTSMA who commute from the Southside and surrounding areas. The fact that DTSMA has been allowed to be a completely "Magnet" school has robbed the rightful students who would normally be zoned to the school of resources that the other public schools are required to provide. Deciding to turn DTSMA into the only full Magnet Academy, with only 1 other high school as an option on the Northside is not a coincidence. It's a blatent attempt to "cherry pick" students who live in zones with more options and resources while, simultaneously, robbing the predominately black residents of the North side of options for education and the resources that a public school should provide. The administration is smug and has shown little to no concern about parent complaints. Drop off and pickup is a nightmare, and the school is very unorganized.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 133 Red Pine Dr.
