2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is just ok. I am a sophomore here and my experience hasn't been great. The student environment is very toxic. there have been more fights than I can count and there is a lot of bullying. Last year, days after a student committed suicide, the early college program had BMX bikers come to the school to talk about bullying. SPOILER ALERT: they didn't talk about bullying. It was only bike tricks. it seemed very insensitive considering the situation. Also, I don't know if the principal herself is aware of this, but she tends to be very buddy-buddy with the bullies at the school. I wrote an incident report about a bully last month and got no update. I've heard nothing about it and feels like I got brushed off. The reason I reported the bullying in the first place was that I was having suicidal thoughts because of the bullying. The well-being of the students shouldn't be an afterthought. Yet here we are. Speaking of well-being, we have had no drills related to shootings or lockdowns. I thought there would be something like that, especially since there was a school shooting in texas not too long ago. "Dogs without leash. Repeated lost dogs. Poop in yard. Presidential is awful and HOA doesn’t keep it up to date or make it nicer. "

"There are craft fairs, city events, American Legion events all within 2 miles. We have lived here two decades and watched it grow from a tiny farm town to the place everyone is moving to. "

"Manor may not have lot of shopping, malls or fancy eating places, but you breathe lot easy here. No pollution, noise, honking cars or traffic jams. Lot of new residential contraction is coming up here and is perfect place to raise the kids and family. People pay three times to live in broken houses built in 50s in Austin when you can get newly built house here in Manor."

"Many families here, school system is now great. Lots of home decor for holidays which is very entertaining. Tennis courts available close to the middle school all year long, same thing for soccer fields or basketball courts. The city is also very diverse and is starting to have more and more businesses opening. "

"It is a nice quiet neighborhood and much better than most neighborhoods I've lived in since moving to Austin. People are friendly but respectful of your privacy. There are lots of family, kids,and BBQ events here. People are also very helpful when you need it! "

"Traffic is really bad here but I believe the mayor is working to make it better sometimes it takes 30 minutes to get out of this Siri it’s because he’s growing so fast and has not expanded the roads to be able to support the growing community"

"There isn't much to do in the Manor area. Any fine dining, or entertainment will have to be found closer to Austin. The city is rapidly growing, so traffic, and crime is on the rise. Manor is a relatively quiet, and safe place to live. "

"Just need to be careful and prepared. Lots of pit bulls. On my first walk in the neighborhood with my dog had a pit come after me. Luckily I had defense and the owner came and grabbed it. "

"I think this neighborhood is really awkward to get to. it's literally like right outside the city, but the access to actually get in here is so chopped up and backwards it takes forever regardless of traffic"
