Fish off our dock (the locals call this part of the intracoastal "Snook Alley"). For the bicyclists...Legacy Trail, a 12.4 mile long corridor that runs thru Oscar Scherer State Park and along the Venetian Waterway, is a short ride away. Just kick back...pick up a good book, listen to the mullet jumping, enjoy the dolphin and manatee swim past your back door. Don't feel like cooking? Pops Sunset Bar and Grill, a local waterfront restaurant is at the end of the block offering fresh seafood and live entertainment. After dinner, walk across the bridge to Nokomis Beach, and join in the drum circle Wed. and Sat. evenings to celebrate our fabulous sunsets.

REPEAT! Or head 3 miles south to Historical Downtown Venice, shop at the numerous boutiques, have lunch at one of the many outdoor cafes. Sarasota is a 10 minute drive north and renowned for its many cultural amenities...the Asolo Performing Arts Center, Sarasota Opera, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, Sarasota Ballet, Mote Marine Aquarium, Ringling Art Museum to name a few!
