10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible disappointment. I'm an educator and almost immediately knew we were going to have problems. The attitude at CHS is pretty black and white: Teachers teach and the onus of learning is on the kids and their households. They also teach to a very specific population of their classes so if you don't "get it," you're on your own. My son was tested as GATE in elementary school and is 100% disengaged here, primarily in Math and Science courses. We used to have a fairly responsive counselor who was our only lifeline with communicating our concerns to teachers and admin but this year we were assigned a new counselor and she is unresponsive. There is zero relationship building between households and the school. Teaching and pedagogical practices are also very antiquated. It's almost as though teachers teach to those who already understand the content but if you need some additional instruction and much more charisma from the teacher, this is not the place for you. We've already spent hundreds of dollars on outside tutoring support and our son is only a 10th grader. We're looking into transferring. This school needs a serious upheaval and administrators who are instructionally sound.Parent Review5mo ago - Leal (Frank C.) Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs both my daughters started at Leal Elementary last year for the first time from a different country, the school has been so nurturing and welcoming! Amazing staff and my daughters adjusted to their new routines in no time. The girls love to go to school and their progress is amazing. Blessed to have my daughters go to Leal.Parent Review3mo ago - Tetzlaff (Martin B.) Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI go to Tetzlaff and personally I feel like they are handling online school the best that they can. The teachers are usually understanding when it comes to personal situations that come in the way of school. I’ve had two brothers go here as well, overall their experience with Tetzlaff was good. However, teachers were most of their problems. Some schoolwork and homework is too stressful. I think teachers should try harder to explain more.Student Review3y ago - Check out schools near 12745 Droxford St.

"There is easy access to many major freeways (Cerritos was almost named Freeway City). The surface streets are fairly well maintained, so commute time is pretty short and safe. Most traffic is around peak times, such as school drop off and pick up, or mornings and typical rush hour. Traffic is closer to the freeway, but lots of side streets to take with less traffic. "
