6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall, the school is not bad. The teachers are very nice and most of them teach very well. The school's environment can feel very different depending on where you hang out. Some fights break out but faculty is very quick to stop them, and they usually don't escalate further than they need to. There is a bit of gang presence on school grounds, but if you do not associate, you should be fine. On another note, I feel like most students at this school are not here to learn, as many students here have bad grades. However, YB offers a very nice program called College Connection Academy (CCA) that starts from 7th grade and goes up to 12th grade. The program includes exposure to AP classes and dual enrollment opportunities. This is a program I'm currently in, and it lets you see YB in a new light. You'll be surrounded by people who are just like you, and who want to pursue a higher education. Overall, in my experience, this school is a great choice for students (if you enroll in CCA).Student Review4mo ago - Windmill Springs Elementary School

"It’s important to know The neighbors and what’s happening around the area. Neighbors help each other better if they know you and you know them. East San Jose is a great place to live with regard to cleanliness and orderliness. Well, crimes are everywhere but city government was able to put it to minimum with the visibility of police fleet. "
