6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMaconaquah is good for naturally smart students. For students with learning differences, this school definitely isn't for them. Teachers are half and half. Some are good while others aren't suited to teach students. The school clearly doesn't give its teachers any training on dealing with variety in students. It's very much a predominately straight white school. The school also doesn't care about the arts. The only thing that matters to Maconaquah is that the sports teams are doing well. All in all, they uphold a façade of a caring school that was created to help students succeed but they put no actual effort towards helping students who don't fit a certain demographic.Student Review5y ago - Maconaquah Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageit's a fun school but the lunch room is very chaotic due to low teachers in there theres no homework so it's easy. The teachers are great I love them there nice, they give good work and it's fun. The bullying is alot due to most of these kids saying there in "gangs".Parent Review1y ago - Pipe Creek Elementary School

Some of these people do not need to be around children so please keep an eye on where your children are going and the routes they take. Be aware that everyone children are not raised correctly so be mindful of bad children at parks and other public places near by. "

"The roads are poorly maintained and the Mayor and City council have focused on reducing the road size to allow minimum traffic flow. Poor city planning, resurfacing of roads is non-existent unless it is a road project to narrow from 4 lanes to 2 lanes. My vehicle suffers from the extremely poor road conditions. Crime rate has risen significantly from housing projects negotiated with Chicago to house its Public assisted. "

"Needs cleaned. Homes are in dis repair. Junk, clutter, old cars, fence row that is in between the park and Arnold st needs to be kept up in the summer it doesn’t get mowed or weeded ( never) unless church group does it once a year. Dead trees every were. Someone is going to get hit with a dead limb. But besides that everyone is nice I chat with. "
