8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is a senior and my son is a Junior right now and I have to say we are very happy to have them both in Peninsula high school!! We love the school and what it has to offer and the staff there are so friendly and very helpful. My daughter will be sad to leave this school as she graduates and moves on to a 4 year college which avid class for her prepared for it and I highly recommend Avid if your student is going there and is planning on going to college. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL. Both my children have gone to this school. My daughter is a now middle student at Kpms, and my son is a second grade student at this school. The teachers do not hold the students accountable for their actions. Don't even get me started on the principal. The dean and principal are dishonest and unkind, and don't do there job. My son has been getting tackled and hit by kids in his grade and even older students. When my son told the office and even the principal, nothing was done. No phone call to the students parents or even to me saying my son has been getting bullied. The principal has said mean and cruel things to my daughter like how she's a horrible person a bad child, because she stuck up for her self when was being Bullied. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs others have stated, KPMS is not the best school. PSD Superintendent blames the bullying issue on the fact that most students come from low income families. I have worked with the low income population and I can confirm that they are some of the most honest and hard working people in our society. Falling in the poverty level doesn’t mean your children are bullies. Children do lead by example and so far I have counted 3 great teachers among a plethora of unethical teachers. I can see that the issues at this school start at the top and these kids deserve better leadership. I am genuinely concerned for my child’s safety and emotional wellbeing everyday they attend this school.Parent Review3mo ago

"Public transportation is great to get into the metros Tacoma Seattle etc but getting to the stations requires a ride or car. And riding public transportation to get around Gig Harbor isn’t realistic. Driving to Seattle or the east side daily would be rough almost insane. "

"There is little to no public transportation or sidewalks from where the majority of the community lives, to where the majority of commerce is. Having transportation of your own, is pretty necessary. But even an avid bicyclist could live and work here without a car... if they don’t mind getting wet, that is...😜🙊🙈"

"Quiet, clean, pride of ownership. Wonderful amenities. Neighbors friendly but not obtrusive. HOA very reasonable for what is offered. Walking distance to uptown and golf course! Great school district!!! Resident street traffic; not a thorougfare. Close to Utopian as far a neighborhoods go...:)"

"Quiet, private road, about 15 homes, nice, large yards. Not much traffic, kids can ride bikes, or play outside. Each home well maintained. HOA for water and road maintenance but low annual fees. "
