4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy 9 and 10 yo sons were illiterate based on the school that we tranfered them to. Althought there are a few decent teachers they are so overwhelmed by parents, coworkers and a principal that don't really care that they can't do anything above amd beyond for students who need the extra help. This school was so impossible for us to work with that we are moving for a better school system. If you care enough about your child's education to be looking at this review, this is NOT the school to enroll your child in.Parent Review5y ago - Norwood Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageit is a great school but no one respects themselves. The advanced classes would be considered basic classes for any other school. The teachers are nice though and they try to always be nice to you. This school could improve TCAP scores and work on doing better in certain terms/subjects.Other Review10y ago - Check out schools near 123 Gail Ln #6.

"I've lived in this neighborhood my whole life and I think the most unique thing is that the people are very friendly!"

"We have no public transit, so car ownership is a must. Roads are not in pristine condition, are narrow in places and difficult to navigate during inclement weather. "

"Lots of dogs. Some roam free, but safer in fenced area due to traffic on Back Valley Road. Nice walking track close by. "

"Small town country charm. Very little small crime. No major crime. Safe! Friendly people that know a lot of people in town. Nearby schools. New Large Elementary School."

"Not really a place for dogs to run and play. There is a park but they are not allowed to be off a leash. A dog park would be nice. "

"Halloween is AMAZING here. they literally close down parts of the road because the neighborhood gets together and set up haunted houses. people are in general nice, or at least polite. "

"The commute is far, we drive 15 minutes to the grocery store and 20 to the park. Those are available in Oliver springs but I don’t like them. I drive 45 minutes to work, but I could choose a closer job. I spend a lot of time in Anderson, Knox and Blount counties for business and pleasure Oliver springs is affordable and has beautiful views though. "

"I’ve lived here 21 years 3 different locations. For a small town it’s safe, quiet, and it has a grocery store, 3 fast food restaurants and a candy factory. "

"Oliver Springs was a booming town due to mineral springs. The spring dried up and so did the town. But it’s still a quiet place to live. "

"It’s a very nice community with great people. The environment is enjoyable and it’s a cozy place to live. I would live here forever if it wasn’t for working so far away. "
