Description
A rare opportunity to own a grand Victorian-era home with a detached two-car garage in the vibrant neighborhood of St. George! This well-maintained property features a huge fieldstone front porch newly-refurbished with a solid mahogany deck. As you step inside the grand entryway you are transported to a time when houses were built to be homes and passed on through generations. The spacious foyer features two beautiful stained glass windows and a grand staircase. This unique home has 9ft ceilings, beautifully-refinished hardwood floors, new interior paint and double-glazed windows. The first floor features a large dining room, living room, eat-in kitchen and pantry, as well as a full bathroom. The second floor has four bedrooms and another full bathroom. The full-size attic has a finished room, with great home-office potential, as well as a huge partially-finished space. The kitchen and sunroom feature new LifeProof flooring. Mature rhododendrons grace the yard. The open, full-height basement is partly finished. The fully-functioning kitchen and bathrooms are a time capsule, and some may want to modernize. Similar homes on this block have been converted to two-families. This house is a must see! It's just three blocks to the NYC Fast Ferry, and the free Staten Island Ferry; Saturday Farmers Market, Empire Outlets, ballpark, St. George Theatre and numerous amazing restaurants.

"The neighborhood is very New Yorkish mix of everything. Beautiful historical houses mixed with urban, multi floor buildings. We’ve been here for a year and already know so many of our neighbors, close and far. We made friends and it feels cozy to swing by for a tea occasionally. Fast ferry is amazing! The best way to get to work ever. "

"There’s a great park near by and some our neighbors are nice. This neighborhood is great to live in. I would rate this neighborhood as 100%. Negativity would be sometimes not finding parking. "

"St. George is a unique neighborhood that is perfect for anyone who plans to work in Manhattan and wants a short, FREE commute. The neighborhood is full of artists, writers, musicians; it's LGBTQ-friendly, lots a great restaurants in the area, low-income and upper-income people living in the same community. Gorgeous old Victorian homes, several condo/coop/apartment buildings in the area. High crime rate? As compared to what? I've never experienced crime here, except for the occasional car break-in. I've live here for 30 years. 10 mins from Snug Harbor Cultural Center."

"St Marks place is a nice street. Hamilton, few others near the Staten Island Ferry. The rest is not very nice. It's improving slowly. Now that they're building an outlet Mall, it's hopefully going to get better?"
