As a former teacher at this school, I can affirm there is a serious need for more discipline and there was, during my time, no support for new teachers. The leadership technique was a variation of bullying with new teachers expected to cobble together information as best they could. It was a negative atmosphere with little to no support.

NLE is an annoying super click and old girls club. If you aren't in the tight knit social circle of rear end kissing annoying ladies don't expect your kids to get a fair shake or an opportunity that would compare to those of the teachers children. Expect after school events to be excuses to watch the husbands and children of all the teachers parade on to stage and suffer through barely hearing them. I am not knocking children but they should have probably picked based on what would be enjoyable to the crowd more that which teach can get the most of her personal children on stage this year. The system invented to drop off and pick up is also annoying so I hope you are a bus rider. The mixed signals are laughable I remember one day I was motioned to move forward by one of the ladies holding the stop sign and another lady, I believe the principle ran over with her clip board SCREAMING stop (not a living soul anywhere near me not in a vehicle mind you save the lady that waved me on) and I was made to look like a maniac. Almost daily I see a different car pick up a kid who is not strapped down by any sort of belt or safety device left to bounce around as the car drives off but I pull out at 8 MPH and I get a call from some lady about how she is friends with some deputy sheriff and I will get a ticket if I do that again. The funny part is I was pulling in too slow to several people were making eye contact with me giving me the universal hurry up sign language. yeah me going 3 MPH over the NOT POSTED speed limit is far more dangerous than the dozens of kids who aren't even restraints with scotch tape while they drive. Had I of maybe donated more or something they wouldn't ride me so hard but ah well. Anyway the point of my review is if home schooling is an option over this school I advise you take it. Unless you like being annoyed every week day.

This school is a great. Small town, only high school and everybody knows everybody. Great welcoming community. Teachers are all good and care about their students. School spirit is high and they are competitive in the area in all sports. Many graduates go to college at UGA, GA Tech, Tennessee, and Alabama.
