You can tell through their classroom instruction that they genuinely care about each and every child. I would gladly recommend this school to anyone not only because of the people there, but also the great environment that they provide. Though the test scores are low, you have to take in consideration their life outside of school. A teacher can only do so much in the classroom and cannot control what goes on outside. "The area is getting better. Money is being put into fixing it up by the city and people flipping houses. Kids do play outside without supervision. Unsure if this is safe or not but I’ve only seen the police twice for incidents in our neighborhood in the 9 months we have been here."

"The block watch in my area always have something going on from working in the community garden, cookouts in the summer to helping out neighbors in need and all the fun holiday stuff you can think of. If you are the type to get involved this is the area for you. It's a very up and coming area! "

"It’s dog friendly. People seem to keep their dogs in fenced in yards or in leashes while walking. Lots of dogs around and all different breeds. Love that it’s pitbull and large breed friendly. "

"Though it is improving some , this neighborhood has it's cycle of ups and downs every couple of years. Good people move in, bad people move in. The bad usually dont last long before they leave, and the good get tired of the revolving bad so they move too. Lots ov vacant properties within a few blocks on this street."
