7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIm a parent of a former student of PS 140. The overall experience at the school was ok but so much room for improvement and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to bring their child to this school unless their child is perfect. The teachers try their best at this school but there is an extreme lack coming from the administrators from this school especially Principal Hasberry. They continuously drop the ball on communication and only make it a point to follow up on things if they feel they will might receive pushback for. The previous school year there was no supervision for the lunch room as well as no gym or recess. I would get calls about things happening that involve my child and each time it was only when the students were left unsupervised. Students with social emotional and behavioral challenges are singled out and disregarded instead of being supported. The Principal seems to care more about optics and if her school appears to be doing well versus actually doing well.Other Review7mo ago - Jhs 8 Richard S Grossley

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a current 8th grader and since i am the most recent review you should believe me the most. Okay so yes previously the school had a very bad reputation and it still does but now things are different. There aren't as many fights as there used to be. Fights between students actually don't happen often. Most teachers really do care about their students and try to guide them into liking learning. The staff is super supportive. If your kid is a kid who doesn't like to involve them self into drama like me they will have a great time. There are kids who like to act up and use foul language but that is not something that is encouraged. Don't hold back this school is turning into one of the best on in the Area.Parent Review3y ago - High School for Law Enforcement and Public Safety
