2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child is going to this school, and she has raised her grades significantly higher! The staff is great, they use the 7 Habits, have great leadership skills, but the bullying can last a week or two. The guidance counselor is super nice and has helped to create a feeling of trust in my daughter. Overall, I would rate the school a 4.9/5Parent Review2y ago - Berea Community High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was a fiasco for my child. Administration cannot manage and are impossible to talk to. No communication from teachers. I don’t get it?! It used to be the school to go to in the county. now it’s the school to avoid. Glad my student is out of there before it had any lasting damage.Parent Review5y ago - Berea Community Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a former student of this school, and after transferring schools due to my terrible experiences with a few select teachers, can say that if you want your children to actually learn, Berea Community is a very poor choice. The algorithm for middle school students covers content that most kids would learn in elementary school. There are very few opportunities for learning growth, except for an elementary "gifted and talented," which had poor standards for it's selection of students. You also receive an enormous amount of homework, which sometimes takes hours to complete, with little sympathy from teachers. Which also ties into my next point, they don't really accommodate disabilities. They do have classes for students with learning disabilities, but for students like me, there are not many accommodations. My academic performances are fine, but due to my ADHD I tend to fidget a lot. In class I'd bounce my leg, or fidget my hands. I'd get many "write ups," for things like, "Weird hand movements." Despite my protest, no teacher would ever listen to my explanation for my fidgeting. Their counselor is also extremely hard to meet with, with almost every student needing one and the school not having the resources to provide enough care. I legally should have been provided with resources, like a 504 plan, which I have now. Berea Community did not provide any resources for me, and unjustly accused me for things I have no control over. This is why I strongly advise against Berea Community, if you want any accommodations or opportunities for your child.Other Review2y ago - Check out schools near 114 Central Ave #1.

"This is a very unique town one would like to think they choose to live here, but really the town picks you. It’s a place to call home once your desire to settle happens. It’s a very magical place."

"dogs can run pretty freely here. We're on a farm and the other homes also have dogs and the local leash law doesn't apply to the farm. keep them away from the highway though. "

"Berea is like Mayberry, but with some crime. So there are plenty to do in Richmond. Not that much here in Berea. "

"I live here. Creekside Village is starter/ending homes. I am retired and moved from a larger, more expensive city, to Berea as college town, craft capital of this state, less expensive to live, but nice, friendly people and only 34 miles from the city."
