2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEveryone in this school should be fired and not be allowed to work in any public school in Polk county or state. My daughter has been going to this school for the past 3 years and let me tell you it has been the worst experience in our lives. My daughter has been bullied, jumped, and disrespected with no justice whatsoever. The principal doesn't do anything to resolve the matter, the counselors are useless, and the assistant principals and the dean are worthless. I have reached the department of education here in Polk county and placed a bullying report on the portal nothing was done and everything was dismissed. We were offered a scholarship for her to go to another school that was too far with no buying and not better than this school. This is her last year, and I can't wait till she graduates and is done with nightmares. Think about it twice enrolling your child in this prison.Parent Review1y ago - Lake Alfred Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe enrolled our son at LAE in 2019 after we moved and had a negative experience with MDCPS. He was held back in our previous county due to poor testing and grades so it was his second time in 1st grade. We had some issues in the beginning transferring his IEP and services that involved meeting with Mr. Burkett (the principal) and contacting the district for support during the IEP process. The school heard all of my concerns and implemented changes to make the IEP process better. During my son's time at LAE, he completely changed from an unconfident, withdrawn failing student to an excelling, out of the box thinker. Besides his excellent grades, he also scores extremely well on his distract exams (4's on his most recent district testing) all while navigating ASD. I've always been a relentless advocate for my young learner and any time there is an obstacle, the school has worked with me to resolve and move forward from issues. I can even assure any doubting parent that when my son had a MAJOR medical emergency in school one day paramedics was contacted immediately as well as us parents. His teacher at the time acted swiftly and took the rest of the class on a short recess to protect them from what was happening while allowing EMS a clear classroom to give my child proper medical interventions. I can't speak for other parents but our experience was overwhelmingly positive- My child was always well cared for is that much more prepared for middle school because of the education and support he received at LAE. My advice is to always speak up on issues as you know your child best and to believe the best in people so that you can amicably resolve issues. The staff truly care about the students' well-being and worked with me to get my son as independently functioning as he is now.Other Review10mo ago - Auburndale Senior High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is a good school, not perfect but it’s good compared to some other high schools in the area. some administrators are a little strict, but it’s understandable, since it keeps the school from turning into a complete chaos. Counselors are very comprehensive and amazing, also most teachers are nice and will help you when you need it. The downside is that they are too strict in terms of being late to school, they’re not flexible and understanding on that side, that’s the only part that should really changeStudent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 1136 Carefree Cove Dr.

"There is a mix of retirees and working families in our development. An elementary school within a mile is a grade A school and there are also excellent private schools. My area is close to major transportation routes, shopping, Legoland, and numerous churches. A great SE area."

"Well the associated need to be more strict, and severe with the Owners each property, how they park at the street, not at the grass, do not allow any car on the side of street, they should park at there own driveway ,and the driving at the neighbors area should be limited speed, driving to fast can cause hitting someone."

"Greater than 1-hour drive one-way into Orlando via US27 to I4. The return trip I4 to US27 is usually 10-15 minutes longer. Most delays are due to bumper-to-bumper stop-and-go traffic on I4."
