The learning is easy. Sometimes my teacher makes it fun. But it is a bit strict sometimes. The Teaching- It's not the best. My teacher gives me tons of homework. I stay up until 1 am finishing it. My teacher makes us feel dumb sometimes. My teachers are most of the time respectful, sometimes supportive, and not very motivated.Social-emotional support - Sometimes the teacher calls students fat and stuff. Some of them are rude. But they comfort me when I am sad. I guess. Safety - Oof. The kids always call each other racial slurs and bad words. I got hurt from a kid once. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI agree with the review below. Above all the qualify of education is very low to non-existent in too many classes. There's no continuity from grade to grade. Old-timey, lazy teachers refuse to teach the curriculum. One in particular didn't teach much at all, he focused on "fun" activities. Another makes up her own curriculum. I know maybe two good teachers in the entire school but they don't get involved past their own classroom. Probably because they have come to the conclusion that this school is a lost cause. There is no Halloween parade or any other comparable event through the year. The principal is present and by that I mean he is physically there but that's all. He's just cashing in a check and letting the teachers walk all over him. There is absolutely no playground equipment. The school grounds are super old and falling apart. There's always issues in the bathroom. The asphalt is a danger to all. It should have been replaced probably a decade ago. Children continuously fall and scrape up their bodies. I'm talking knees, shoulders, elbows, hips faces! all scrapped up. The cracks let out loose asphalt so there are rocks everywhere. The children step on them and bruise their feet yet the teachers still make them run laps for "P.E." There's a sorry excuse for a PTA. I've not seen the children benefit from anything this organization has done for them. I've actually never seen them do anything but fundraise and they ask for "cash only". PTA is run by a district employee. Bottom line if your looking around for a school look somewhere else. If you don't have a choice get out as soon as you can. "I am a location scout for films in LA and have been for a long time. Most of my friends are also location scouts. Granada Hills has the highest density of scouts living here. Dollar for dollar pound for pound it is the best place to live in the LA area. Omelveny park, and the parks that are connected to it in the nearby mountains is the nicest place in LA to go hiking. Bee Canyony is a great area to walk around in. It is a prosperous neighborhood, egalitarian and diverse. It is a very very extremely easy place to live (I came from Silverlake before this.) There is no traffic and once can go from a living to produce aisle in 5 different markets in 3 minutes. There are lot of different freeways nearby, but not too nearby. Getting around LA from Granada Hills is very easy. It's the best place to live, no crime to speak of."

"I live on the edge of the neighborhood and the area Iive in lands itself to be inhabited by transient, homeless, drug addicted or otherwise unsavory members of society in that the area is adjacent to the fwy and homeless population either live in the greenbelt alongside the freeways or park their RVS in those areas or under the fwy overpasses of which there are many in the areas around Chatsworth Street and Haskell Ave. Worse are the persons who prey on older homeowners overtaking their homes and properties for their own purposes leaving the properties in an unkempt condition bringing the property values down and leaving local older residents in fear of venturing outside their homes for fear of engaging with one of these neighborhood "pirates", for a lack of better terminology for these aforementioned types."

"I have lived in this neighborhood most of my life oh, it has been very peaceful until recently. people are using our streets as a drag strip or a drift circuit. our packages have been taken off from our front door step. people are leaving their dog dropping on our front lawn and stealing out plants as well. some of the neighbors are still kind and decent they knock on your door saying that we need to evacuate because the hills near our house are on fire. "
