6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePulled our child out of this district, it’s not about teaching them but rather pouring politics into the students all the time. Constantly everything at this school is political, it should be about education. Sadly it’s not: We have lived everywhere in the United States and this school is the first time we ever felt the need to remove our child from an ISD.Parent Review2y ago - Dwight D Eisenhower Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school! My child is attending 7th grade here and loves it! Amazing staff, teachers, and administration. They care so much for their students at this school. Everyone, from the office staff to the prinicpal and vice principal, know my daughter - and everyone else - by first name. I wouldn't trade for any other middle school in town! Sometimes 'ratings' aren't everything.Parent Review11y ago - Bluemont Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBluemont was an amazing experience for our child. The principal really cares about the staff and students and works with the parents to address any issues that may arise. We transferred into Bluemont from a much larger elementary school in the region, and couldn't have been happier with our experience at Bluemont. The staff is engaged and caring, creating a wonderful environment for the kids.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 1105 Ratone St #2.

"I have 3 trucks so I can get there, anywhere, rain, sleet, or snow... and I also have 4X4 in each truck. But Manhattan uses round abouts and they don’t know how to implement them because they are all too small and a train wreck ready to happen."

"I drive if needed and downtown isn’t far, about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. There is an option for public transportation a few blocks down. "

"We've really enjoyed living in this neighborhood for over 10 years now. It's convenient to parks, grocery stores/shopping, restaurants, schools and trails. It's been a safe, great area for my kids and in the summer it is such a short walk to the pool. We are close to some major roads, but tucked back enough away that traffic isn't an issue. I love that they are adding some additional sidewalks and ammenities soon, too."

"This area is awful. Lots of crime and reckless driving occurs here. Avoid this area around The Links if you can. "

"It has great activities for kids. Not so many language classes but a variety of other activities. Daycare is very expensive and there is a shortage of institutions."

"There are many houses without fenced in backyard. Dangerous busy roads. And people not taking responsibility for owning a dog aggressive dog. "

"There isn’t much of any close community events if there are any in our neighborhood. We have done some things at the school, that about sums it up. Otherwise, we go to the public library and they have had some fantastic events! We especially love the summer reading program - for both kids and adults! "

"There are many families in certain parts of the neighborhood with a elementary school being close by. The schools playground is fun for the kids. A city pool is nearby, but doesn’t have great hours and is rented out for pool parties. Also it VERY expensive per person. There is a amazing park nearby, much better than the one by pool. "
