5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA SCHOOL/ COMMUNITY FOUNDED ON RACISM! Josie Barton - the captain of the cheer team - and her friends recorded themselves saying that they have to lock their car doors because they were in “niggerville” while giggling. Since then, this has resurfaced a lot of issues with the school such as the school mascot being the “rebels” which represents the confederacy and everything it stood for and also the bullying of students of color - which happens quite frequently. No actions have been taken. This school does not care about the real American history or equal rights. The educators, superintendents, principals, chairmen all have a part to play in the way these students conduct themselves so THEY are allowing racism and prejudice to continue!Parent Review2y ago - West Ridge Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHonestly - schools pretty cool, teachers are nice, most of them, students are cool. The teachers are good at teaching and the school gets some good grades. Most of the kids are nice, exempting most of the "popular girls" and "football guys." Schools cool though. Would recommend sending your kid here.Student Review1mo ago - Check out schools near 107 Trace West Rd.

"Sometimes it can be a little chaotic depending on school traffic. Would be much better also if the train didn’t stop traffic almost every morning. But for the most part it’s not to bad. Evening commute is by far the easiest "

"We bought our house here 23 years ago. It used to have lots of children at play, but they’ve all grown up, married and moved away, and our community is more like a retirement area now. It’s quiet and MOST HOMES are owned by the residents…not a lot of renters around here. "

"The only real event I know of is the Redneck Christmas parade every year. I don’t attend it. Halloween brings Trick-or-Treaters. Unfortunately, after 23 years of living here, we hope to move to an area with more for our grandson to participate in, without our having to drive 30 minutes to get him to a fun event. "

"I have lived in this community most of my life, it's a safe place. We lived in a community for 13 years and never locked our doors. I moved back here to start my own family and it is still a nice area with good schools, good home value and people that clean up after themselves. "

"Friendly, low crime, cheap to live. Cons are really horrible city planning which causes major traffic. All the roads are too narrow with few stoplights. Also no sidewalks and few true neighborhoods due to no zoning laws "

"Not enough family friendly activities or attractions what is available is usually very overpriced but there are at least some things available rather than nothing at all events are spread allover the city which is nice but also shows the need for a central location to hold events "
