I have to say, with my experience of my own kids’ past schools and observing many other friends’ kids and their schools, Salida Middle School provides the most well-rounded school experience. Teachers are great at their work. Academic standards here is good and kids are having opportunities doing many interesting learning projects. This school also has great music, art, and sport programs that provide students many opportunities. "I walk or ride my bicycle. the taxi service is affordable and dependable for local travel. the neighbors all know each other and are mindful of others in the community."

"I live 1.2 miles from work and my commute takes all of 4 minutes. Occasionally, you need to stop to let a cyclist or deer cross the road. Otherwise, there is no traffic to speak of. "

"It’s a safe town with low speed limits. People regularly walk or ride their bikes around town. Most kids ride their bikes to school!"

"Lots of nice, wide sidewalks. Plus the speed limits are low so crossing the street is safe and easy. "
