"The school district is under funded, and has a hard time holding on to teachers. Pay attention to crime statistics. some neighborhoods are really nice, others, I would suggest not being caught in if you don't have a reason for being there."

"No public transportation. You need to own a car to get around. If you don’t own a car, then you have to walk or ride a bike or know someone with a car to get around. I live 8 miles outside of town. A Dollar General store just opened about a mile and a half from me. That is the closest store. Everything else is 5 or more miles away. The nearest Walmart or department store is about 13 miles away."

When people think of Moss Point, they may have negative ideas associated with this city; however, they are unfounded. Moss Point is a beautiful little waterfront town. Like other cities, we’ve had our rough patches, but citizens and city officials continue to focus on the positive."
