6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been here for one year and so far our kids are thriving. We have one child who struggles in a few areas and another who is a more straight ahead "good student" and Glenview has found a way to be equally supportive of both. The teachers, parents and principal all really care about the kids and community.Parent Review2y ago - Edna Brewer Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLiterally this is the worst school. I regret sending my daughter here. I was expecting this to be a great schools because most reviews are saying that this is the best school but it really isn’t. The teachers are literally the worst. They don’t explain good and they scream at the students if they did something wrong. The detention that they give here is just stupid like if a student did something little the teachers get mad and send them outside or to detention. My daughter was a really good student at her old school. She was a straight A student because the teacher knew how to teach the lessons in her past school but here is just not a great environment for your child to learn. My daughter tries hard in this school but because the teacher don’t explain good she doesn’t get good grades and she is really sad about it. Also this school is not a safe place. There’s so many fights and I don’t like the fact that a teacher screams at a student for something stupid. I don’t recommend this school it’s just the worst and I hate seeing my daughter cry about how terrible this school is.Parent Review1y ago - Oakland High School

"The neighborhood is really great to live in. Almost everyone is friendly and there are always people walking around so you never feel like there is no one around to watch out for you. As a kid I was able to safely walk home without any worries which was nice too. "

"The neighbors are friendly, take care of their property, and look out for one another. The neighborhood is convenient because it’s walkable and so close to retail commercial (e.g., restaurants,, farmers mkt/grocery/drug stores, apparel, and coffee shops), freeway and BART access, and natural amenities (Lake Merritt). "Since moving here it has been hard to believe just how friendly the neighbors are and how great the neighborhood has been. Excellent commute to many major cities. Walkable distance to Lakeshore and Park Blvd businesses. The elementary and middles schools are highly regarded and we can't wait to start our first child and Crocker next year."
