"I quiet, caring, and kind. this area has the makings of some of Wisconsin best places to live. fresh water, kind people and great food in the area has allowed ashland to flourish and begin expanding due to a recent City renewal. "

"Lots of farmers markets, the library has a great bookstore called the BOOK-NOOK. A great place to walk with trails along the lake. It’s beautiful here and affordable. "

"I have lived in Ashland for years. It is a quaint little city with lots of large, beautiful trees throughout. There are updated walking trails. The level of crime and drugs has gone up in the past 10 years, dramatically. Ashland is still a place that has different groups that merge together : townsfolk that have multiple generations of full time residency, Native Americans that have their own community in the same zip code and college students that live here as young people that sometimes stay longer."
