4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAshland City Elementary is an excellent school, where students are treated with respect and encouraged, enticed, and expected to do their very best. The teachers care deeply about the students. The work with each other and their supervisors to improve the quality of the education the students. receive. The students work hard, take responsibility for their learning, set goals and address their shortcomings. The school atmosphere is warm and comforting for students and staff alike.Teacher Review11y ago - Cheatham Co Central

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLinda Owen id the principle at this school and is incompetent in this position. Un concerned of the children and safety. If there were a crisis in this school these staff members would be clueless on what to do and I do not trust the principle with those decisions. How do these people get these jobs Id like to know? I thought moving to a small town outside of Nashville schools would be much different..sadly they are getting worse and not much far behind Nashville schools that have become completely unsafe and incompetent. There is also no gated entry way a guard on duty before entrance this is how security becomes breached. Something needs to change in these schools and this principle doesnt care. They are not taking school shootings seriously and all it takes is caring and a little effort and money to fix these problems. The public school system is become corrupt and this school and how the principle handles this huge responsibility is no exception. Thats just one issue but the most important.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 101 Adkisson St.

"Too many animals roaming around… cats and chickens mostly. Dogs still should be leashed, if outside. "

"If I'm visiting my fiancee's family home then from there to Clarksville is 45 minutes. It's about the same in Nashville where I am. About 40 minutes. "

"I am not a parent, so I don’t feel I have anything to say in response to this question, except to say that the area of Ashland City that I live in (Sycamore Valley) is very quiet and safe with neighbors who know and look out for each other."

"This is still a small town but close enough to drive into the city for shopping and entertainment. The town does lack restaurants and places to shop but it’s a trade off. I like living here but growth is in the works which will destroy our small town "

"I lived here for a year now and hate it. No "southern charm" here. People are greedy and lazy, and the housing market is rediculous."

"Small town charm but growing. Beautiful scenery and waterways for camping and boating. There are walking trails and picnic areas also. Southern charm "

"It’s a small town away from the big city activities. I like that. Wildlife is present with woods and country setting. "

"I've lived here for 17 years and it's pretty cool. There are cat's that roam around but they are sweet, just don't feed them or they won't leave. "

"I live and work here. Great community. Wish we had a Lowes and a couple main chain upscale restaurants . Wouldn't change anything else. Live a rocks throw from River Bluff park and boat launching."

"I have been pleasantly surprised by the Ashland City area. Until I moved here, I knew little about it. If you work in Nashville, this is a great commute. Close to Briley Pkwy., but off the commuter path. Affordable housing close to recreation. Lots of friendly people and grocery shopping. "
