7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMoving to anew town can be tough, but Deport Elementary school made it feel SO EASY! We experienced a caring and supportive team from the Janitor, to the Principal to the Librarian and to the Teachers - all were incredible! They focused on academic excellence, a nurturing environment, extracurricular opportunities (i.e. LOVED the ART and READING programs), and a strong sense of community that fostered a sense of belonging and responsibility among the kids. We particularly appreciated the school assemblies every quarter that brought all students, parents and the school team together. We felt SO connected and engaged and miss them now. One meeting showcased the kids doing archery, another they performed a dance....all were done so well and were a lot of fun to experience.Parent Review2mo ago - Prairiland High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWorst school I have ever gone to and I've moved 15+ times in various states. Don't ever move to this town and put your child in this school system. Why? Let's start with the kids...first off the most anti-social rude kids you'll ever meet. If they haven't known you since elementary...FORGET ABOUT IT. You will never make friends. If your not in sports, you'll never make friends. If your not pregnant... You'll never make friends. I had nice things for the most part and jealously was a big issue, don't wear nice things or you won't have friends. Next their education is low, they even have a guys that wrote his own math book in his handwriting. It should be a 6th grade book...I don't think the school has tested it out. Also the teachers are so rude, rudest meanest teachers. I've seen teachers call kids whores, sluts, cuss at them I've seen it all. They dip in class, they let students dip in class. Also they single you out especially if your new or have nice things. It's ridiculous and I pray for you all at this school. I also hope that someone will be strong enough to change it because I have never been to a worse school with the worst teachers rudest kids and worst education in my life.Other Review9y ago - Prairiland J High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageas a student, i do not like it, it seems to help if your parents or siblings or cousins (older relitives) went to. Its very small town, it seem like kids with no relitives who went get less attention. I don't like the fact that the 6-7th grade math teachers childeren are in her class, Not truly fair. If you want to be in advanced in 7-8th grade, you must also participate in sports, im not even sure if its legal to make that manditory. All in all i have a few good friends, and i like 1 of my 8 teachers, not the best ratio. As i said it helps if your relitives know the teachers ( i recently moved here) and have frindships with them, youu get treated better, also the childeren of the teachers are treated better. So there you have it, I truly hate this hick school.Other Review13y ago - Check out schools near 100 W Fairview St.
