7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNot the best experience. Academics are far behind what you see at surrounding districts. Sure, it look great on paper like kids are doing great...what isn't mentioned is that almost every class is required to give kids constant retakes on tests. The kids are basically learning they don't have to actually try. They are learning in 6th grade what GCSD is teaching in 4th and 5th, so far behind as it is. Programs, almost no extra programs or offerings. No mental health. Zero discipline, phones out during class and what we have seen in pictures and recordings is enough to call in. The things that happen behind closed doors and that are covered dup at this school would shock several. There are some crooked happenings going on for good test scores. District needs to take a closer look.Parent Review1y ago - Pickens High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school was okay. I left in 9th grade because a girl told some lies on me however. They gave her all the support she wanted even though they knew she lied. They never supported me at all through the situation aside from a “oh just stay away from her”. I have to deal with the emotional trauma everyday because of what she done. I’m scared to even go out in public now. And besides that, I was told not to tell any of my friends about what happened or I’d get in trouble, which is an infringement of my first amendment rights. They supposedly told her the same thing but she never got in trouble when she told her friends because “if there was rumors we’d hear them”. There was also another time when a boy tried pushing me down the stairs and they let him get away with it because daddy has money and “he was horseplaying”. The teachers were great aside from all that. Ms. Sailors, Ms. Jennings, Ms. Patnode, and Mrs. Roach, I love you all, you’re the greatest teachers I’ve ever had. And coach Blackwell, you’re the coolest sub ever. They’re the only staff that could at least keep me slightly motivated through all of it. If you want your kids to have good teachers, let them go here. If you don’t want your kids to get bullied, choose a different school. Because there’s good teachers elsewhere too. Just the sight of this school triggers my trauma now.Other Review2mo ago - Check out schools near Hester Store Rd #3.

"Great area. Wyatt Oaks is a safe and quiet area. Friendly people and nice houses. Big yards. Been here 18 years and never had a problem. The schools are great and there are many great places to eat, not far from all kinds of shopping and I-85. Atlanta is about 2.5 hours away and Greenville is about 15 minutes! Lots of great things to do!"

"ASD1 has good schools and a tight knit community. The area is growing quickly and developing so classrooms will either get overcrowded or they will need to expand the buildings. Limited parks and recreation compared to Simpsonville. "

"I’ve lived in this community for 3 years. Most people want to keep it nice but there are a few that do not. Their yards are a mess and houses could definitely be kept up. Lots of loose cats and dogs which gets annoying. And some kids are rowdy."
