"We are visiting, so there is no commute, but we can not get anywhere without a car. There are also few jobs in the area, other than in service industries. "

"Free art and craft classes in the square . Village Pride has a program where families can adopt a Spot and learn how to take care of plants and decorate for holidays. There are all kinds of functions in the square that are family oriented! Movie night complete with popcorn ! Service days where all clubs and organizations set up booths to k form the community what they do!! Al meetings are open to the public and great to teach children about government ! The south fork river runs through the village and is great to teach kids how to have fun outdoors! Old Kia Kima allows all kinds of clubs, church groups and organizations!"

"As homeowners, we can tell you first hand that although we live in the middle of town, we have the quiet, privacy, and beauty of country life right here. Our town has beautiful deer and wild turkeys year round right here in town. The crime rate here in town is almost non-existent. We have 7 gorgeous large lakes that are perfect for boating, water sports, and fishing. There have been record setting fish caught in all 7 of our town's lakes. We live near several other small towns so everything we need is right here within only a few miles. We're also less than 25 miles south of the Missouri border so there are numerous towns in Missouri that we're close to as well. We're only about an hour drive from Memphis, TN ... about 3 to 4 hour drive from Branson, MO ... and more. The weather here is phenomenal with only a couple inches of snow on a normal winter, about 4 to 6 weeks of winter every year with our spring arriving usually around mid to late February then we get flowers popping out of the ground, leaves budding on the trees and shrubs, and everything becomes very green. There is no such thing as a snow blizzard or white out here, we get a few days of ice every few years but when you've relocated here from a northern state, the ice is no big deal because you're used to much worse weather! For us, this is the ideal place to live for everyone of every age. "

"This is a great town to live in. With 7 lakes that are stocked with a variety of fish and are perfect for water activities such as boating, water skiing & swimming, 2 golf courses, several community centers with swimming pools, horseback riding, nearby schools, doctors, hospitals, stores, restaurants, movie theaters, bowling alleys, fitness clubs, ambulance service, fire department, police department and much more, Cherokee Village offers something for everyone. Cherokee Village also has friendly residents who moved here from all over the United States. Being in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains we have miles of beautiful trees and wildlife including deer. If you enjoy hunting deer, property owners are allowed to bow or crossbow hunt deer year round on the property that they own. We have the beauty and quiet of the country right here in town. "
