"It’s a great neighborhood for access to parks and hiking by the ocean. For the most part, dog owners follow the leash law on walks. There are many signs discouraging dogs on the lawn."

"The Annual Fair at Saint Margaret’s Catholic Church and the Fireworks show on the 4th of July. Also the fire trucks drive Santa Claus through town during Christmas.🎄"

"Dog owners would love living in Lomita, CA. There’s at least three parks within a mile of each other for dog walking. Also, there are notices posted regarding the law about picking up after your dog."

"The Lomita Fair, however there are a lot of people speeding and littering during this event. This city has come a long way but just as fast as it has improved it is declining w speeding cars on residential streets and wondering homeless."

"I moved here one year ago and don’t regret it!! Lomita is a small jewel of a town and hopefully stays that way.The people are friendly and helpful when you need it.The homes are different from each other and I love it that way.No cookie-cutters ones! Everyone is respectful of their neighbors privacy.The streets are kept clean and in our neighborhood, it’s very quiet at night. I am glad we found our home in Lomita, a Mayberry of the south bay !"

"Easy access to the freeway and traffic is only really bad around 7:30 to 8:30 and then again from 4:30 to 6. I like that they sweep the streets every week. Street parking is a struggle "

"It is full of nosey elderly people. It's quiet and quaint, however, neighbors are very nosey. Perfect place for families and old people... not good for anyone that is slightly noisy."

"It takes about 15 minutes to get to either the 405 or the 110. Total commute time to West Side or DTLA is about 90 minutes. Worth it. "
