"I have lived here for 18 years and love it. It’s a quiet, friendly place. Everything you need is close, grocers, hospital,drugstores, good food and other amenities. Law enforcement is outstanding in this area, and Fire stations are close by. Excellent schools also."

"Lots and lots of CATS!! Really! I had a dog in this neighborhood for over 12 years, walked him every night. He liked the neighborhood and ignored the cats unless they were on “his property”!"

"It’s on a quiet dead end street, neighbors watch out for each other. Especially during storms and emergencies. Everyone keeps there lawns cut. There are no HOA dues."

"Old Gretna is pet friendly. However the leash laws are straight forward and any attack from furry loved ones can lead to a no leash ticket and court fees. Be safe and keep dogs on leashes in Old Gretna."

"My neighborhood is quiet. We can walk to 4 different stores out here as well to pay most utility bills. There are plenty of parking spaces as well. Old Gretna is home of The Gretna Heratige Festival as well as many mom and pop businesses that make it extra special. "

"Very cute community. Everyone keeps a lookout for one another when the other goes out of town. We have the Jefferson Parish Town Hall and many know many as it’s a definite community that you will enjoy. Home of the Gretna Heritage Festival amongst many antique market sales as all locals "
