"I love the neighborhood feel. I do think people need to pay a bit more attention to their dogs (is barking and being left outside all day) but everyone’s very nice and the main areas are well maintained. "

"yes I do believe that is guidelines that you have to follow in a neighborhood to maintain the area as it appears with no paper on the ground no lettering poop pick it up no that's the best way to me to keep your neighborhood intact"

"It's a nice area with side walks, not a lot of children. The neighbors are real friendly and courteous of each other. The only downfall is the cars speeding past, dogs should always be on a leash."

"My neighborhood is a quick five minute drive to the subway which will go downtown. Getting out of North Buffalo in the winter time in order to travel to the suburbs it’s a bit tricky but if you leave early enough you should have no problem. Close drive to all colleges and hospitals..."

"Commute is a breeze! Downtown via Main St. Or 33 in minutes. Traffic is never crazy. Only downfall would be parking- I live very close to Hertel "
- DaveH.

"All of the neighborhood restaurants, bars, parks, the Belt Line train tracks, Hertel Ave, the Buffalo Zoo, the Frank Lloyd Wright's Martin House. It's a quieter neighborhood compared to the Elmwood Village but Central park is quaint, historical and beautiful."
- Kkrengulec

"All around nice place to live but it gets very busy and the traffic is getting pretty bad as they open up more bars, restaurants and shops. They aren't adding more places to park or accounting for the rise in traffic. I've been seeing more and more accidents on Hertel than I've ever seen living here. And they drive and pass each other like lunatics. Getting scary to cross the street."

"I moved to the Hertel area in 1995. I am thrilled with the way this area has taken off! Great shops an restaurants nearby, safe and walkable. Property owners constantly making improvements to their homes. Prices still affordable compared to Elmwood Village. "
