6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOkay, this school is gradually growing. It can use some more improvements in some areas, but all around its a good school. The football field and the gym is looking better than ever. The school is always pushing for you for success. They have different routes for specific desire (sports, health, arts, agriculture etc.) Their AVID is great, but some of those teachers are not so great. There are always teachers offering help during break, lunch, and after school. They have plenty of AP and honors classes to offer. The regular classes are often quite the loud ones depending on the students. Sometimes teachers quit trying to keep the kids down and continue to teach to those who want to learn. There also is quite a lot of extracurricular classes. Most of the people I know are in at least one or two. Lunch food. The food is probably not be exactly “healthy”, but the do encourage to get fruits or vegetables before you leave. There are 4 different lunch lines: the barbecue line, cold food, hot food, and the main cafeteria line. The barbecue offers chicken burger, hamburger, cheeseburger, and hot dog. You can put whatever you'd like in your burger/hot dog(lettuce, cheese, etc.) and grab your condiments after you pay. With fruits, chips, pretzels, or crackers to grab before you leave. The cold and food are self-explanatory. There are two separate lines. Cold food provides salad in a cup thing which is called a shaker, and different types of sandwiches. I can't quite remember the whole list, but they have it posted on the window . The hot food has burritos, calzones, and others. Can't remember much on this one either, but it does have it posted on the window also. They have fruits, platter of veggies to offer with ranch, and the small snacks. Ah, the cafeteria line. The main line where those grab their breakfast, brunch, and lunch. The breakfast line is literally a just come in and left within a minute or two. Brunch is quite hectic since people cut right and left. I can kinda of get it since we only have 10mins to eat, but people get quite pushy. Lunch is more smooth flowing. You enter through a different door and two separate lines for buffet line and the patty sandwich line. Buffet also is different everyday.Student Review7y ago - Rowland Avenue Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has changed tremendously. I remember when my daughter attended this school a few years back. They had so many PTA moms and volunteers helping out. I noticed that their kids were favored over the other kid(s). They would receive special awards at the end of each school year (I'm not sure if their kids really earned it---I hope they did). This time around with my son...I noticed that there are actual teacher aides/assistants, not moms. I like that better...gives you a peace of mind. I feel the teacher is more engage than before. My daughter was never given a book to read during her elementary school years there. My son now brings a book from school everyday to read and has to turn in the next day. I see better learning materials and teaching techniques. There is also a fence around the school now. It's locked during school hours and visitors must go through the office first. I like the new process and drills that they periodically have.I hope they remain like this.Parent Review1y ago - Traweek Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageawful school & awful staff, been told many rude things by the office ladies (been called stupid, accused of fake crying, “what do you want.. i don’t like you”), i tried to tell the counselor i was getting bullied and i was told i was overreacting, staff never helped me when i told them i was getting bullied, wasn’t allowed to do tutoring during home room because the teacher thought i was ditching class (they found me in the math teachers classroom), and overall treated like a prisoner. this school is even stricter than high school, and this is coming from a high school graduate. do not send your kids here, especially if they struggle with mental health.Other Review3y ago - Check out schools near 225 N Vincent Ave #44Y6N5.
