4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen we moved to the area, everyone raved about Fossil Ridge. After having a son go there, I know why. The teachers and administration are caring and involved. The kids learn how to be independent as they transition from elementary school. They set the standard for the district by starting Reach, where kids who need extra help can get it and the other students have fun elective options. Other intermediates have now implemented this. The culture is fantastic and they have great theater and music opportunities.Parent Review8y ago - Horizon School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love this school. We just moved here and I have 3 kids at the school. The teachers have all been welcoming, attentive, and so good to my kids. They are patient, kind, and at the same time, they have super high expectations for students and won’t let them slack. I love that in 5th grade they hold my student accountable for getting work done each week. If my student slacks, they have to go to a class where they catch-up, but if they get everything done, they play a game. This has motivated my 5th grader so much. For the first time, I don’t have to fight with my kid to work on things. He is taking ownership and is getting things done without reminders. I’m seeing so much improvement in him, and my other 2, and it’s because of the wonderful teachers at this school.Parent Review3mo ago - Utah Online K8

"I am very dependent upon the automobile to get from place to place. Automobile traffic can be heavy. I do ride a bicycle, but mostly for recreation and exercise. I am not aware of any public transportation options."

"I must have an automobile to get most places. There is no public transportation, but I appreciate the wide open spaces and independence. There is a fairly good network of pedestrian and bicycle pathways, which I take advantage of. So, I’m fine with that. Perhaps solar energy and an electric car is in my future."
