9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe subjects are good, good community, the only problem is that your yearly experience is HEAVILY dependent on the teachers you get. My apush teacher only talks about himself and I just know I'm failing the AP test because of it. School lunch is good, Campus is great, I never find myself being late to classes, but the hall monitors can be a little strange at times. Gender neutral bathrooms are required to have the doors open at all times, which i'm pretty sure is to prevent vaping but it's kinda like really discriminatory towards gender non-conforming students. Overall really good school, I feel like I was kind of negative towards it but i've genuinely enjoyed my time here.Student Review2mo ago - Love Elementary

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child started kindergarten in 2020 remotely so when she entered 1st grade at Love, in person, she thrived and fell in love with school. The teachers and the principal are wonderful, passionate and committed to creating a welcoming, nurturing and inclusive environment for all students. There is a strong sense of community at Love Elementary with a caring and supportive PTA. A diverse school with families from all different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds and an everyday culture that promotes inclusion and respect for all cultures.Parent Review1y ago - Will C. What Locals Say about Alameda

"Lovely architecture to admire while walking the dog. Nearby parks and beaches are only 6 blocks away. Downside is that dogs aren’t allowed on the sand but you can walk on the sidewalks overlooking the water. Hardly any traffic so the streets are quiet. People with dogs give other dogs lots of space. Rare to see dog waste not cleaned up-though it happens. "

"One of the safest and most convenient places in the Bay Area. I don’t have children but there are lots of school aged children in the neighborhood. Many options for sports facilities and being active outdoors. "

"It’s a nice quiet neighborhood. Families outside, kids walking, riding bikes, water balloon fights and table tennis are regularly enjoyed. I moved here from the city - it’s definitely slower - shuts down early but a lovely place to call home - seemingly a lone star born from the idyllic American towns of yesteryear. "

"I see families walking their pets and going to parks. The side streets are usually blocked off for ‘safe streets’ but any main road will be busy with cars speeding by. "
