Michael C. Hall Takes Another Stab At Selling His Los Feliz Home

The serial house flipper and former "Dexter" star has relisted his Spanish Colonial casa, just a year after he first tried to sell it.

UPDATE: Success! Michael C. Hall has (finally) sold this remodeled Spanish Colonial, getting the full listing price: $4.85 million.

Michael C. Hall’s real estate portfolio is en fuego. The former Dexter and Six Feet Under star just listed his six-bed, six-bath Spanish Colonial home for sale in Los Feliz, CA — for $4.85 million. The renovated property, which measures 5,618 square feet, is tucked behind an elegant entry garden and gate. Once inside, guests are welcomed by a stunning, 20-foot-tall foyer, with sightlines extending all the way to the second floor. The foyer opens on both sides, one side to the formal living room and the other to the informal den.

Light streams through the home, which was built in 1923 but was extensively renovated just a few years ago. (And when we say “extensively,” we mean it! Check out this spread in Lonny Mag that shows some of the “before” photos!) Period finishes like arched windows, wood-beamed ceilings, and low-pitched tile roofing have been preserved, complemented by modern amenities such as a professional-grade kitchen. Fun finishing touches include a reproduction barn door made from alder wood with custom-fabricated iron brackets that separates the living and dining areas and a guest bathroom with a sink on a vintage library cart.

A large swimming pool and lush, tropical landscaping make this home a unique and inviting spot; the guests’ quarters are certain to reel in frequent houseguests. Treetop views of the stylish Los Angeles suburb of Los Feliz make this property highly covetable — assuming the price is right.

But this isn’t the first time Hall, who just finished a run playing the lead role David Bowie originated in the music legend’s play Lazarus off-Broadway, has tried to ditch this home. According to Variety, back in 2014, he listed the home for $4.5 million just a year after purchasing it for $3.825 million. But apparently, a quick flip wasn’t in the cards this time for the TV star, who has also owned (and sold!) a contemporary-style home in the celebrity-stuffed Outpost Estates of Los Angeles, plus a four-bed, four-and-a-half-bath home in the Hollywood Hills, which he owned for only a month. Maybe commitment just isn’t his thing!
