Alfonso Ribeiro Drops $1.9 Million On A Home In Granada Hills

We'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, to tell you how he became the prince of a town that's not called Bel Air.

But that doesn’t mean he’s not living the luxe life like a true member of TV sitcom royalty. Alfonso Ribeiro, the actor who rose to fame as preppy-cousin-from-hell Carlton Banks on the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, has snagged a new home for sale in Los Angeles, CA. Ribeiro dropped $1.9375 million on the eight-bed, nine-bath home in beautiful Granada Hills. Time to do the Carlton dance!

Ribeiro — who’s also the Season 19 winner of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars — seriously traded up for his new digs. Built in 2005, the 7,530-square-foot, Mediterranean-style home is located in the gated community Stallion Meadows (what a manly name!). The contemporary home features vaulted ceilings and French doors. An outdoor patio includes a sitting/dining area and a pool table. (We all remember the Fresh Prince pool hall episode, right?)

The master suite has a private balcony, which overlooks the mountains and Universal City lights. A large gourmet chef’s kitchen comes with all the high-tech amenities a star would want, like a Sub-Zero fridge and freezer plus a warming drawer. It’s also a “smart home,” with everything from solar panels to fiber-optic lights in the pool. And while it may not be Bel Air, the house does feature a maid’s quarters with their own separate entrance. You’ll have to find your own Geoffrey, though.

The expansive grounds include an outdoor barbecue, brick pizza oven, ice maker, keg, and beautiful brick fireplace. There’s also a 1,500-square-foot pool house that includes some wild amenities like a large rec room with nightclub lighting and DJ wall hookups. There’s a basketball half court (for “shootin’ some b-ball outside of the school”!), a swimming pool with a grotto, waterfall, and slide, and a spa with swim-up bar. Will Smith may be the Fresh Prince, but clearly Ribeiro is the real estate king.

It’s been a busy time for the star, who recently scored a hot gig as the new host of America’s Funniest Home Videos. And since moving on up to this new estate, Ribeiro just listed his spread in Toluca Lake, CA, for $1.449 million. That five-bed, five-bath home, which measures 3,941 square feet, is listed as a “celebrity family home.” Social climber Carlton Banks would be so proud.
