"I live next to parkside park. It was renovated a few years back and has a basketball court and exercise equipment with plenty of room for dogs to play and run. There is also a marina about 5 minutes away with trails for you to walk your dog along the creek. "

"I live in South Des Moines, North Hill. it is an older neighborhood, most homes built in the 1950's although there are some like mine that are over 100 yrs old and some new construction mostly when older cottage type homes are on huge lots, are torn down and the land, being valuable here in the Seattle area perhaps 4 to 6 homes are built then, priced near 1 million or more as the area is only 20 minutes away from either Seattle or Tacoma, and 5 minutes from the airport. This is a very quiet area with mostly older people and not many children. Very safe, not super wealthy enough to attract attention from thieves, nor lower income where people steal from their neighbors. I work different shifts at the airport and walk my dog in the middle of the night sometimes and feel entirely safe, I never run into anyone, nice, great to be out alone and be safe "

"great small town feel, not many homes for sale, people stay for 20 plus years, great to come after work to the small town fell after getting out of the Seattle traffic mess. "

"This neighborhood is a well kept secret. Very nice neighbors, people watch out for each other. Lots are typical large so houses are not too close so there is better privacy. Lots of greenery and large trees around here. Streets are not cluttered with cars, people park on their own driveways. Close to downtown Des Moines on the water with restaurants and marina/park, farmer's market on the weekends and free music sometimes. Close to freeway access and shopping. Although it is close to the airport the noise typically is not too loud and comes in mainly from the other direction."

"the 122 and 121 takes me one shot, straight down town. its a relaxing commute as its a 50 minute commute. I can catch up on reading or chat with my 2 year old as we ride. if we ever miss the 122 or 121, we also take the 166 which takes is to the Burien Transit Center where we can transfer to an oncoming 122 or 121 or even a 123. transit is very handy in Des Moines!"
