Hi Dyzart - To answer that question, you have to put it in context. If you mean assessed value, it would mean that market value matches assessed value on average. Hard to do since the market is constantly fluctuating.
But if you expand the question a bit, I will try to give a more thorough answer. Happy 4th!

There are metered spaces in the summer all along Long Beach. If you own property in York, you can get a resident sticker that allows you to park at Long Beach without paying the meter. The cost is very reasonable, $25 I think.
The meters are removed in the fall/winter and daytime parking is easy. Some limitations on overnight parking due to snow plowing.
If you have more questions, please feel free to phone or email me.

Jan Kovarik answered:
Dear Mary Cunningham, how are you?!

My name is Jan Kovarik and I am a RE Broker with Regan Real Estate in York Maine.

I have researched the subject house that you had mentioned: Lindsay Road Foreclosure, but unfortunately was not able to see it and find it in the local MLS.

I have seen some of the listings that come through trulia or zillow and even the realty trac to be inaquerate or just out of date.

If you could provide me with the complete address or even a picture of the property, I would be certainly glad to help you.

Have a Great Thanksgiving,

Best Regards

A pool adds value for a buyer looking for a home with a pool!!

It takes away value for a buyer who doesn't want a pool.

I have had buyers tell me not to show them homes with pools, but have never had a buyer tell me to ONLY show them homes WITH pools.

Appraisers will add some small amount to the assessment of the home with a pool, but nothing even close to the cost of adding the pool.
Depending on the lushness and design of the backyard landscaping, some increased value may also be added.

Perhaps the homes you are looking at are simply overpriced - pool or no pool!
