Probably.. Everything is market driven. If demand goes up, prices go up, It looks like rates will go up no matter what according to recent reports. According to a report from BrokerMetrics, for ALL condo's in Westborough, through Feb-12, 2012 vs. Feb-13 of this year, : The number of for sale properties is up 14% and the number of sold properties is down 50%, however, he average months supply of inventory is down 57%. The way I interpret this information is inventory is getting tight... prices are starting to go up and it looks unavoidable..

The town has nothing to do with the program. I would suggest calling Rockland Savings Bank. They are a fairly large Mass Housing Lender.

Plenty of information out there to sway you either way. The issue with resale would only be limited to an individual buyers mind and opinion. In his regard you should think how long do you plan on being in the home. if its short term then perhaps there is another location less controversial.

The easements that allow the towers and wire to be there would override any individual or town's cry to bury or move them.

I think as the market comes around people will take outside factors into consideration like commuting gas prices etc. Because of that I see areas that have better commute times to cities and large businesses. Areas like FRamingham and Natick have excellent commute times, easy access to the pike and large businesses like Genzyme STaples etc making for easy commutes. I think the boroughs will continue to have increase in building as they have more land but sales there will always be a bit slower than Framingham Natick. You forgot to mention the INCREASING BULLYING in the public schools in Westborough. This is a real issue and the principals are not doing enough. The problem was recently addressed in the local newspaper, although the seriousness of it was certainly glossed over for PC reasons:

I am a long time Westboro resident and can answer your question. The taxes in WB are higher because OUR TOWN SPENDS EXCESSIVELY ON PUBLIC SCHOOLS. We do have great schools here, but the fact of the matter is that they are no better than the schools in Southboro or Northboro with much lower taxes. All 3 towns are similar in that essentially no services are provided other than public schools and maintaining the roads with tax dollars ( i.e trash pick-up, recycling pick-up etc is payed by residents separately from taxes). Dont get me wrong I think good schools are essential to a good community but it is possible to achieve this without excessive taxation.

Check out this list of tax rates in every town in MA. Note that Westboro is among the highest in the state.

Obviously there are a lot of similar sized towns with similarly good schools on this list that manage to pull it off without excessively squeezing the residents with taxes

You are not the the first to notice this. There is a citizens group with a website critical of this issue. In my opinion WB should look to expand its commercial tax base to ease the burden of those paying residential taxes and cut some of the generosity of the pay and pension of the public union employees to a more reasonable and fair level.
