Pool expenses will vary a lot. It will depend on the size of the pool, if it is heated or not, or if has a salt water system, amount of usage etc... If you do it yourself the average of cost for electricity, chemicals, water, etc.. will be around $40/Mo. Also remember that the expenses during winter will be much lower than the expenses during summer, when it is used frequently and chlorine evaporates much faster. If you use a pool company the expenses will of course be much higher.

A pool will definetely increase your property value, especially in Arizona. If you want a pool it is usually a better idea to buy a property with the pool alraeady on it, as you will be buying it at a discount. When you install a pool in a property it will increase the property value, but by a lower amount than what you pay for it.

Hope this helps.
