Hi Rose. The Brattleboro housing market does seem to be active this year, more so than in the past 2-3 years. Under contract and closings are trending upwards. But I think it's too early to tell if prices are going up; that's something we won't know until we have more data, later in the year. ... more

Most Mortgage estimates that you see, will not include Taxes nor Insurance:
Add to that, the Mortgage Estimates, (just like automobile lease payments you see on TV,) will be directed toward people with pristine credit.
They are all advertisements; meant to attract you.
If you are seriously considering buying, you need to do your diligence and contact a reputable Loan Officer.

Hi Phillip,
What town are you looking to gather this data on? Burlington has a property data base that you can use to gain some of this information. You may also have good luck using the ‘grand list’ some of the other towns have this information available as well. The difficulty is crossing town lines. It’s uncommon to find the same information displayed in the same program.
Another avenue is to use a Vermont sold property search. Just type that into Google and you should have a list of options.

If you need to know what additional fees regarding, road/water/sewer, you can ask the listing agent for the data sheet unless they are attached to the listing separately. An icon with a paperclip will gain access to the information if the agent has already provided it. Most condos and homes located along Village Road, Upper Village Road and Shady Lane are billed quarterly for their usage. The SnowCcreek Condos are only charged for water & sewer. I hope I have answered your quest about the "resort fee". ... more

Hi Pat,

Yes, long term rentals do exist but, as you are probably finding out, there aren't many resources available online to prospective renters to help them locate long term rentals in the Upper Valley.

Give me a call at 802-332-8966 or send me an email at shane@shanevahey.com with some criteria of what you are looking for, how many occupants, whether or not you have pets, lease commencement date and budget.

Hope this helps and I look forward to the opportunity to earn your business.

Hey Sxegen,

You can contact the listing agent who will be able to help you learn more about that specific property (and probably will know a lot about similar properties in the area). To find an agent, just click on the yellow button on the property's Trulia listing and you will be able to start a dialogue.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can help with anything else. I am happy to be a resource for you. Good luck with the search!

Hi Eden,

The questions you pose are excellent. A lender is going to be the best person to answer you, as different financing options have different restrictions and requirements. We have a lender in our office who I'd be happy to put you in touch with if you'd like, simply send me your email and I can have her contact you to review options. Stowe is a beautiful area, we look forward to having you here!
