This property is 14 blocks from the Northern end of the campus. The campus runs from 4th to 14th street.

If you are going to be attending UTMB, please visit my website for other properties that might be within walking/biking distance. I work with "soon to be" UTMB students everyday and would be delighted to assist you.

Very few owners of condos, duplexes or triplexes will hold a property longer then 30 days. It is best to start looking about a month and a half before you wish to move in ,for best results, because the inventory changes frequently.

I don't believe so. You could call Metro Bus in Houston and see if there is one of their buses that goes to Hobby.

Public transportatoin in Houston is always do-able as in most large cities, but as I suggest in Texas, it is best to own a car. That is unless you live very close to work/school. Houston is so large that it prevents you from enjoying much of what the city has to offer.

Bus, rail, taxi and pedicab. Bus serves Austin, same for taxis. Rail runs from downtown to Leander. Pedicabs are downtown as well. We have options. Not like New York or DC, of course.

Roger Buraimoh answered:
Yes, Austin has significant rush hour on all of it major streets, mainly Interstate 35, US183 , Loop 360 and Mopac(Loop 1). The only good thing right now is the rush hour doesn't last as long as other major cities. Typically rush hour gets very congested between 7:30am - 9am in the morning, and 4:30pm - 6:30pm in the afternoon. It's very difficult to maneuver around the traffic jams, because the way the city has been developed with residential homes. One can expect to be in rush hour typically between 30 to 50 minutes, hopefully without any accidents(then it's up in the air how long it may take). Austin never really planned the streets for the explosive growth that has taken place since the 90's. ... more
