Hi Wmickels,

I only see 10 MLS listings for sale in Avignon, and 7 of them are new construction being sold by the builder.

That leaves just three previously occupied homes listed for sale. I would not think this is any reason to be alarmed. We can only speculate as to their reasons for listing their homes.

Kindest regards
Don Murray

The City of San Antonio is one of Texas’ largest metropolitan areas and the seventh largest city in the United States. San Antonio is fast growing- in fact it has been in the top five for growth in the nation for most of the past decade.

San Antonio has a strong military presence—it is known as Military City USA! Home to the recently renamed Joint Base San Antonio Fort Sam Houston- , Lackland Air Force Base, Randolph Air Force Base are currently the largest installation in the country- over 80,000 military and civilian employees serve more than 200 missions at the Joint Base.

San Antonio is home also to five Fortune 500 companies and to the South Texas Medical Center, the only medical research and care provider in the South Texas region.

San Antonio is a great place to call home!

Yvette, the best way to find these homes is to contract a realtor and ask for their help. Otherwise you would need to pay for a full appraisal. Public websites data is notoriously dated as are county and city tax records. Do yourself a favor and call a realtor. ... more

Georgia street is not an area I would feel safe living in, especially with kids. But your level of comfort and mine could be different. In Google, do a search for "Georgia St. College Station, TX" and look at the Google Earth street view of the neighborhood - you'll see tires in yards, debris on the curb and junker cars.

Rent is really high in CS, so anything under $800/mo is usually a dump or in a bad neighborhood. Be weary of duplexes, they usually indicate run down neighborhoods or high volumes of college students. The duplexes are usually very close together and don't offer much in the ways of privacy or yards.

Just north of Georgia and Holleman, closer to campus (south of campus), are some nice and safer homes in the historic area around Brison Park.

Stay away from anything that says it's in Northgate! (north of campus and Dixie Chicken area) There are frequent crimes of people being held up at knife-point and gun-point there! Usually in the wee hours of the morning when students are leaving the bars, but still, not a place I would ever live.

Directly east of campus is kind of a mixed area with families and a lot of college students, but reasonably safe.

North of campus in the areas around Hensel Park and Tanglewood Park are nice, safe neighborhoods.

Unfortunately, real estate agents cannot tell you if this is a "safe" area or not because it is a violation of fair housing laws (the government trying to protect you). However, there are some good resources where you can find this information.

Trulia has a Crime heat map that you can use to get a general idea. Find the HEB area here:!dallas-tx/14/32.82471,-97.14988/Dallas,TX/

You can also go to the city police department and ask for crimes in a specific neighborhood or for an address that you are interested in.

Here is a blog on my website about this:

If I can do anything to help you, please don't hesitate to give me a call.

Trinity is nice place to live for a senior. There are communities on the lake. Westwood Shores is a gated community on Lake Livingston. I have retired parents that live there. It is definitely not a fast paced town. It is about 20 minutes to Huntsville where there are larger grocery stores, a small mall, Target, Wal-mart, and plenty of restaurants. The Woodlands is only about an hour drive where there is shopping and choices for health care. ... more

Edith Karoline Jasser answered:
oh my, with all these very good questions, I have one really useful recommendation, work with an experienced area Realtor, your personal Buyers Agent, Buyers Agents will work exclusively for you the buyer, in your interest, protecting you their client, and you will this way have a one stop real estate resource, not only answering all your questions, but also finding and showing you properties that fit
your needs and pocket book, and guiding you through the entire process with expertise and market experience, paying attention to every detail. Buyers Agents are usually paid out of the proceeds of the
sellers side at the closing, from you the buyer all that is required is your commitment to only one
Realtor, and your 100 % loyalty to your personal Buyers Agent, so that that agent can also be 100 %
committed to YOU...

Do not do this on your own......
We also just so you know cannot answer any of your questions, because you did not leave an address or a link. As far as safety and school report cards goes, the Realtor can really not direct you, as far as schools and safety concerns go, a good Buyers Agent will be able to suggest websites and other ways for you to get the information you seek. Realtors have to be very careful
with recommendations as to schools and safe neighborhoods, as it could be understood or perceived as STEERING into or out of certain areas, which is against the law....

Hope this helps you somewhat if you need recommendations for experienced Realtors in your
areas of interest get back to us and we gladly recommend some good ones to you.

Sincerely yours,

Hi Dee-

Frisco Lakes is a great neighborhood and the many clients I have had that bought here love living here! The taxes are of course based on the price of the home for the different county, city and school taxes. You as a home owner are responsible for maintaining your yard and the HOA has very strict guidelines on keeping your yard maintained.

The HOA dues are $330 quarterly and the club house is amazing with onsite recreation manager and many activities for the residents, other than golf.

If you would like more information on this great neighborhood in Frisco, please feel free to text, call or email me and I will be happy to help you with your home search.

Feel free to visit my website to learn more about me as a real estate agent!
