Michael Murdock answered:
The property you are inquiring about is not a residential lease. It is a service station on the corner of I-20 and Hwy 19. The zoning is defiantly not meant to be lived in.
BTW, I only found this under Commercial not residential. I could define the terms but it would not help you unless you wanted to run a service station with several mechanic bays. Feel free to contact me if you need additional information at EXIT Realty Pro. 903-567-7777 Mike ... more

Hi Kezzalynch,

If you don't have any pets, and it's just short term, consider acting as a house manager. You get the benefit of really low rent, often times the home is already furnished, but you do have to put up with the home being shown to prospective buyers. That is, the home is for sale, staged by a third party, who also puts home managers in the homes to make them looked lived in. Besides the inconvenience of having to show the home, you also have to keep it relatively spotless.

If that doesn't float your boat, consider hooking up with a short term rental property, but be prepared to pay hotel rates (pretty expensive). Try for some good options.

Or you might find an extended stay contract at a downtown hotel, or near downtown hotel, might also have side benefits, but be of similar cost. You get made service, but the space would be pretty limited compared to a house rental.

What would help is knowing the size of the space you're looking for.

Think of Trulia as an Internet Magazine; displaying pictures and figures of houses for rent and for sale:
Trulia is not a Real Estate Office, they employ no Realtors nor Brokers.

If you want to Buy or Rent a house, you need to contact an Agent in that city to represent you.

Good luck and may God bless

Lake Travis and Eanes are the exemplary ISD's in the Austin area. There are also other areas where the ISD overall is not exemplary but some of the schools are such as Steiner Ranch and River Place. Circle C is a nice neighborhood and in my opinion not too suburban. If you would like to discuss your home search further, please email me at or call me at 512-695-5144.

FW is a great town with tons of things to do entertainment wise. I could recommend several areas but that's hard without knowing a little bit about what you desire in a home/ neighborhood. Established vs Newer neighborhood. Kids? Activities? Commute. All these things need to be considered before narrowing it down. Send me am email and I can recommend some areas and we can start thinking of areas and as the time gets closer I will start sending properties for you to look at and eventually get you in to the neighborhood you decide upon

Bruce Lynn answered:
Why wouldn't you?
Do you know all the past history inside and out. Who died, who married who, what they owed.
Do you know if their are liens on the property or liens on the individual current seller? Do you know if a single seller is in fact married, or who has the legal right to sell the property?

Why on earth would you risk big long expensive lawsuits that you might run into to protect your investment that could come up years later. That's why you get title insurance. So someone else will check on all the scary things that could happen and protect you from some of the worst ones.
