Land acquisition cost is less in Spring than in the Woodlands. That is one important reason along with several others. As far as suburbs there are many wonderful ones to choose from. What is so wonderful is you have such a wide variety to choose from. I think it is important to assess your needs & wants. Choose what is most important & make a list., i.e. the distance you are willing to travel, schools, if that is a factor, your social interests, are you near them,.... and you will get to where your search will be manageable & fun to work through. Also, ask friends, co-workers and find your self a good Realtor and enjoy the experience! Good luck! ... more

Cheapest rent? ...that's a tough one to answer.

But it is truly an outstanding place to call home. We have all the amenities you'd want - great schools, great parks, great residential areas, and REALLY great real-estate prices (compared to the rest of the country)! I've lived here 30+ years and have raised a family here. Whatever you're looking for in a first-class residential community, we have it all! ... more
