One of the best locations for value and opportunity is the North Port / Port Charlotte areas. This location has been hit hard by the real estate slow down after some of the fastest growth between 2003 and 2006 resulting in many nearly new homes being sold for a fraction of their real value.

We just sold a 2001 constructed home, 3/2/2, fenced yard, in move in condition foe $59,500. The buyer made a $6,000 deposit and is paying approx. $300 a month for their mortgage. There are many opportunities similar to this one.

Good luck

Hi Marilena:

As an agent at Coldwell Banker's Siesta Key office I am very familiar with the market and inventory as it stands and as it has changed over the past several years. You would be able to find a 1-bedroom on the Key in your price range, however a 2-bedroom -- even in foreclosure--is not likely. You may want to consider one of the lower priced complexes that are located on the Mainland, but just over the southern bridge that still cater to the vacationers and seasonal market. If you would like to explore this further please contact me directly. Best of luck.

Congratulations, with your purchase. Many real estate companies offer their own management services. Have you consulted with your agent on this topic?

Good luck,
