Being from Venice I fee confident responding to your questions. There is no getting around the issue of age anywhere in Florida....especially during the winter months. Venice indeed has its share of elderly but it also offers a variety of opportunities for the young as well.
There are a number of developments that feature a true commitment to young families: Stoneybrook, Willowbend, Rivendale, etc. to mention a few. One of the features that draws people to the area is its "small town feel" that includes an outstanding quality of life.
Garrett, keep in mind the fact that when children become school age, most often the center of their social and recreational universe is found in and through their school. The educational system is one of the best in the state and when considering Pineview School, recognized as one of the top 10 in the country.
We recommend investing in a visit to Venice so you can come to your own appreciation of what the community is really about. Please feel free to contact us with any other specific questions you may have about the area.

As one of the community amenities, it is important that the clubhouse in any community, regardless of age restrictions, be in tip-top condition, Anything less would produce a serious decrease in property value and desirability.
Thanks for you recent inquiry. There are many condo's in a golf course community or near by a public course. Depending on which community you choose, the fees vary. I will happy to assist you in your search by sending you more specific information via our MLS.
University Park is a fabulous golf community. It is close to I-75 and the airport. University Park has 67 homes for sale and I have included a link below to all of them. Each listing will give you the subdivison they are located in and what that includes. There are several great subdivisons within University Park. There is a community pool and clubhouse with a great restaurant. I have several friends who live there and they love it. You can purchase a great home for a great price right now.
Hi Debra, My knowledge of the Cape Coral market is limited but I can tell you about Sarasota. Perhaps one of my colleagues on this site can better answer you on Cape Coral.
Sarasota is a beautiful little city with big city ideas and things to do. We are known for our cultural activities as well as our world class beaches. Besides all of the outdoor things you find in all Florida towns, such as tennis, boating, golf and, or, etc; we also have world class art museums and many assortment of theaters (The Asolo, The Florida Studio Theater, The Golden Apple Dinner Theater, The Player’s Theater. Just to name a few). Just google them along with the Ringling Museum or Ca da’ Zan. The Tibble Learning Center and Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. If that is not enough to wet your appetite, look up Mote Marine, Marina Jacks and Sailors Circus and then Ringling College, New College and FSU. Sarasota also sports one of the best beaches in the world, Siesta Key Beach.
The coast of Sarasota is dotted with many little islands each with their own unique charm. The waterways going to and from form some of the most picturesque vistas imaginable. Downtown Sarasota has a plethora of fine restaurants and outdoor eating cafe’s where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or bottle of wine with good friends after work.
You may find that housing is some what more expensive in Sarasota but the market the way it is... We could possibly help you out in your price range.
My best to you wherever you end up.

I would have to say there are three main areas in Sarasota that fit your question. One would be Towles Court near Adams Lane and US 301 another would be Burns Court off of Cocoanut and Burns Ct and the last would be Palm Ave. near main Street. There is another area that is dedicated to Multi Media Art and that would be the Ringling School of Art and Design. All these areas have residential or condo homes available in the general vacinity. I would be happy to forward information and listings from these areas if you will provide me with your email address.

Families and children are very much involved in the region. In fact, Sarasota has some of the best public and private schools in the State of Florida.
