Hi, That's a great question. It all depends on your goals and the outcome you are looking for. It will be based on your current competing available listings, current pending sales and what has sold most recently and how they compare to your home. If you'd like to get an idea for your specific zip code visit

Fay Yates answered:
Ettie, I did not find any information about the listing of this property in our MLS. Which could mean the owner does not want to use an agent in renting this home out. There is a phone number listed on the "listing website" link, but name is not given just some initials. I would like to give a word of advice - do not give or send any money to anyone without meeting them in person and seeing the property first. There are a lot of scammers that ask you to send them money first.

Best of luck to you.

Alexandra,

If I understand you correctly, you are interested in the crime in this area. You can get help on this from the San Diego Police Department. They can provide statistics relative to other areas to give you perspective. You may want to check the database for locations of sexual offenders in the area as well. Unfortunately no area is devoid of crime and when I've checked the database in areas I consider safe over all, None has been without sex offenders within a modest radius. You are wise to do your homework ahead of time and then to take reasonable precautions to protect yourself and your family. ... more

Jim Fishinger answered:
Hi Joy,

That will be possible, but it will depend on geographical flexibility.and other factors. Rents are lower in age restricted communities, but you would need to be 55 or older. Most rental listings pay little to nothing to the agent representing a tenant, but if you'd like information you can contact me and I will send you options that could work for you and connect you to the leasing agent to assist.

Assuming the property is in San Diego County, I would suggest you go to the county's webpage and see if a recent Notice of Default has been filed.

http://arcc.co.san-diego.ca.us/services/grantorgrantee/search.aspx

(Make sure you search by the name that is on your Deed of Trust/mortgage document).

A call to your mortgage company would be worthwhile too.

I'd be happy to email that to you, but it would help if I could get a bit of clarification from you on the search parameters that would send you condos that were in line with what you are seeking, both geographically and feature wise.
